Premium mobile service provider Vodafone is geared up to launch an entry level Android smartphone in India dubbed as the Vodafone Smart VF858. Even though there is no official word about the launching, it is expected to hit the stores sometime by next week.

The smartphone runs android 2.2 Froyo and at the heart of this Huawei manufactured phone is a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor. The handset features a 2.8 inch QVGA capacitive display which has a 240×320 pixel resolution. Further, it is equipped with a 2 mega pixel camera which offers a picture quality of 1600×1200 pixel resolution.
Other specs include: 130 MB in-built memory; Bluetooth, HSDPA and GPS for connectivity; stereo FM radio with RDS; and, support for MP3 and MP4 players.
If the rumors are to be believed, the phone offers a talk time of 4 hours and has up to 250 hours standby time. It is reasonably priced at INR 6695.
