A dual-core smartphone is something we are used to see in the market, but a device powered by a quad-core processor, is quite interesting.
The Edge HTC supposed to become the next “object of desire” for fans of Android smartphones; it will be powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3. The image above was released by Pocket now site, which also states that the Edge will have the same specs of HTC Rezound: a 4-inch HD screen with maximum resolution of 1280 x 720, 1GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera, a large difference really would be in the processor.
The Tegra 3 is not only a more powerful processor as well, it consumes less power, since it activates and deactivates cores according to the need for processing. Moreover, the Tegra has a fifth core that runs at 500MHz, it is used for less intensive tasks, such as syncing music.
But the question that hovers in the air, what is the real need for a smartphone with a processor that? What is your opinion?
